Wikipedia Authors
This activity was part of a field trip to the Temple of Literature, the Quán Thánh temple, and the Trấn Quốc pagoda to study Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. Prior to the trip, we divided the grade up so that each class would specialize on one temple, and one group would be videographers. Then the students read the current Wikipedia articles about their site and asked themselves: what questions do I have about this place that AREN'T answered?
Once the students generated their questions, they went on the field trip and they asked the guides what they wanted to know. Once they returned, we created a sandbox replica of the Wikipedia sites so that the students could practice editing the articles without any worries.
