Ideology Prisms

In G10 Humanities we were looking at the rise and fall of the Weimar Republic as a case study. In one lesson our students examined texts from the 1919 from different ideological points of view: Socialist, Communist, Fascist, and Militarist.

We loaded each text into Prism along with the comment categories: Interesting, Ideological, and Confusing. As students read the articles, they highlighted various passages accordingly. At the end of the activity, they visualized the texts so that we could instantly see what parts stood out and how they were thinking about the texts.
